How often do people normally get heartburn?
Posted on November 9th, 2009 by Beth Goodwill under Q&AI love spicy food, but it seems like every time I eat mexican, or at least really spicy food, I get heartburn which usually lasts 10-15 minutes unless I take an antacid. Is this normal?

This is normal for a lot of people. There are diets you can follow to minimize acid reflux but since you already know what foods set off your acid reflux it’s best to avoid these foods or anticipate heartburn and treat it.

If you want to eat spicy food forget the acai berry advertisement. It is normal to get heartburn but the best way to beat is by sipping on some aloe vera juice after a meal that is spicy. Get a jug of aloe juice and sip on some every time you have heartburn or nausea or whatever. It works every time. And I don’t sell the stuff by the way. It is in every health food store.
