Do You Have Heartburn after Eating Bread?

It is necessary to make some changes in your diet if you get heartburn after eating bread. One option is to start following a diet low in carbohydrates.
Bananas are a very good remedy for gastric acid reflux, and if you have heartburn after eating bread, you can make banana bread.
There are plenty of recipes for banana bread all over the Internet. Gluten-free breads are recommended if normal bread causes gastric acid reflux.
Cinnamon is used in many homemade remedies for heartburn. Therefore, scattering cinnamon over the slices of bread should reduce the gastric acid reflux. In order to improve the taste even more, you can also scatter cardamom. For this recipe, you are recommended to use raisin bread.
Toast the slices of bread and apply butter on them before sprinkling the condiments. You do not have to hurry when eating these. Instead, chew slowly and allow your salivary glands to excrete enough saliva to break down the food slower when it gets into the stomach.
Keep in mind that bread is only one of the multiple causes of heartburn. Besides white bread and corn bread, other foods that may lead to this health problem include:
- Milk
- Fat foods
- Oils
- Cereals
One of the first measures you have to take is to replace normal bread with safer options. If you still have heartburn, then you need to try homemade remedies such as:
- Apple cider vinegar
- Lemon juice
- Baking powder
This can be taken individually with warm water or all three combined. In the latter version, the gas produced by baking powder and gastric acid is neutralized with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar.
